There’s excitement around town as Weymouth is set to feature on ITV's This Morning today.
Weymouth’s first non-alcoholic pub Dry Dock is set to have a short segment on the show at around 11am.
A film camera is set up in the bar ready for owner Sam Watson to appear on TV and talk about his exciting business venture.
He said: “It’s a bit of a feel-good Friday story and hopefully it will be a bit of a kickstart for us."
Dry Dock is a no-alcohol pub-themed venue on St Thomas Street which sells soft drinks as well as alcohol free alternatives to beer, wine and spirits, including mocktails, alongside a range of hot drinks.
The idea for the venue in the town centre came following Mr Watson’s own experiences with alcohol.
He previously told the echo: "I struggled with mental health problems and found the solution in alcohol and self-medication, and I ended up as a dependant drinker for a number of years. I have been in recovery for about three and a half years, and have not had a drink for about 18 months.
“I feel that I want to give something back to the community because a lot of people got behind me when I was having a tough time and I want to give that back.”
