Police recovered a ten-inch machete which was located in Swanage last weekend.

Officers from Purbeck Police recovered the machete with the help of Swanage town council after it was located in the area.

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the people involved.

A spokesperson for Purbeck Police said: "We are pleased to report that with the help of our local council, we have recovered this 10-inch machete that was located in Swanage over the weekend.

"Our enquiries are currently ongoing to identify those involved.

"Dorset Police often hold knife amnesty weeks. Please keep an eye on the force website for dates of the next one."
