Spooky spells, creepy crafts and cauldron cocktails will all be featured as Shire Hall Museum in Dorchester goes Halloween-themed this half-term.

From Monday to Saturday, October 23 to 28, Shire Hall Museum in Dorchester will become home to spooky family-friendly fun for the ultimate Halloween-themed visit.

Based in Dorchester, Shire Hall Museum brings over 200 years of justice and injustice to life.

With interactive galleries, immersive cells and an impressive courtroom, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the museum.

Children will be able to make slippery slime from 10am to 3pm each day.

Around the museum, families can enjoy the spooky trail and creepy crafts.

Plus, children dressed up for Halloween get free entry to the museum

There will also be a selection of Halloween-themed treats and autumnal drinks available in the café.

A selection of fresh, locally-produced food will be available in Shire Hall’s airy mezzanine café.

Alongside its family-friendly events, Shire Hall is hosting Spells in the Cells, an evening of magical cocktail making on Friday 22nd October.

Taking place in Shire Hall’s historic cells, visitors will be able to make their own transfiguration tonic and cauldron cocktails.
