A road near Sherborne is currently closed in both directions due to flooding.
The A3030 is closed in both directions between Bere Lane in Bishops Caundle to New Lane in Caundle Marsh.
Dorset Police received a call at 8.55am to say that the road was closed due to the flood water created by the heavy downpour from Storm Ciaran last night.
The local authorities have been notified and are currently dealing with the incident.
Portland Beach Road has been forced to close whilst Pymore Road in Bridport has now reopened after a tree fell and blocked the route.
Many schools across the county have been closed and some properties in the west of the county of experienced power cuts which are currently still being resolved for some homes.
