A LAVISH ballet is to herald the festive season in Weymouth.

The Nutcracker will be performed at Weymouth Pavilion on Wednesday, November 29 at 7.30pm to get theatregoers in the mood for Christmas.

This production from Classical Ballet and Opera House will feature a live orchestra with more than 30 musicians.

Promoters say: "Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a trip to your local theatre for a dazzling production of the most famous ballet in the world – The Nutcracker.

"This ballet continues to capture the hearts and imaginations of all generations across the world."

Expect snow flurries, sweets, princes, magic, and love.

This is a highly accessible ballet, full of familiar music such as the Waltz of the Flowers and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
