A Portland road will be closed for at least one day as planned sewage works are carried out.
King Street will be closed from today, Thursday, November 9, as Wessex Water carry out the works that should be completed by November 10.
The stretch of road affected will start from the junction of King Street with the main road through Fortuneswell, the A354, for a distance of approximately 170 metres.
However, the public notice issued by Dorset Council states that the closure could be in effect for up to five days should any problems arise.
A Wessex Water spokesperson said: “A short section of King Street, Fortuneswell, will be closed on Thursday November 9 for sewerage repairs, which are expected to be finished by Friday.
“The road closure is needed so we can work quickly and safely. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
