Nothe Fort will honour those who served and remember their sacrifice today, on Armistice Day.
A Remembrance event at the Fort will include an official flag raising with a bugle performance of the Last Post followed by the Nothe Fort Artillery cannon firing, a two-minute silence and Reveille.
The event will take place between 10.30am and 3pm.
The Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller, will also be visiting to unveil the community poppy display.
This display has been developed over the past two years with Nothe Fort Volunteers and community groups, in partnership with We Are Weymouth UK.
An abundance of poppies has been made from recycled plastic bottles, with some members of the community writing a name upon their poppy as a special dedication.
The Bovington Military Wives Choir will also perform a Remembrance set, especially curated for the event.
The Weymouth Sea Cadets will be holding make-and-take activities, where visitors ca9n make their own paracord poppy broches and bracelets.
