A school community has voiced its gratitude after young offenders constructed and donated four 'beautiful' new picnic tables.
The old picnic tables at Holy Trinity Primary School on Cross Road in Weymouth needed replacing and pupils were very excited to see that the school had been given four new ones.
The new tables were built by Portland Young Offenders Institution with wood provided by MKM Building Supplies, which is based in Chickerell.
They were then delivered to the school by Mark Stratton of Melcombe Regis Construction.
Headteacher, Fiona Daykin said: “We are so grateful for our beautiful new benches. The children will enjoy using them. Thank you.”
