A one man whodunnit show is coming to village halls in Dorset this weekend.

Directed by Kersti Ståbi, MARA takes place on an almost empty stage and is set in the vast forests of 19th century Sweden.

The play incorporates themes of love with national folklore while exploring our relationship with sleep and what it means to be awake.

Internationally renowned storyteller Dominic Kelly plays the role of Morten – a man troubled by nightmares and weird visions. A friend tells him that he’s haunted by a Mara - someone possessed who unwittingly visits another at night - and must discover their identity to free himself.

MARA comes to Milborne St Andrew Village Hall on Saturday, November 25 and Sandford Orcas Village Hall on Sunday, November 26.

Both performances begin at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £11.50 from https://artsreach.co.uk/event/mara-dominic-kelly
