Damage has been caused to the window of a Weymouth town centre takeaway after it was punched by a man.

Dorset Police have now issued CCTV images of a man they wish to identify after a window of Surfside Diner in New Street was damaged.

It happened a couple of weeks ago but the appeal has just been issued.

Police Constable Antony Frost, of Weymouth Police, said: “We have been conducting an investigation into this incident and have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding his identity to please get in touch.”

The incident was reported to have happened between 2.30am and 3.30am on Saturday, November 18.
