A PASSENGER was left with minor injuries after a bus collided with a tree and ripped the roof off a double decker.

Emergency services attended the collision on West Way, Bournemouth at around 5.45pm on December 1.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said that one passenger had sustained minor injuries and had received first aid.

Police attended alongside the fire and ambulance service as well as BCP Council.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service sent five fire crews to the scene, two appliances from Christchurch, two from Hampshire and one from Bournemouth.

Fire crews left the scene at around 6.10pm.

Roads were closed between the junction of Bankside Road and Castle Lane West, while emergency services handled the incident.
