RESIDENTS are reminded of an invite to join the Mayor of Weymouth at a carol service today.
Carols by the Coast with music from the Salvation Army Band is from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday evening next to the Christmas tree near the Beach Office on the promenade.
There is also free parking at participating Dorset Council car parks in Weymouth town centre during the day.
Mayor of Weymouth Kate Wheller said: “Join me for Carols by the Coast, a new festive event being organised by Weymouth Town Council, which I’m hosting as mayor.
“We’ve got music courtesy of the Salvation Army band, mulled wine and mince pies, and plenty of festive cheer with two of the Westhill donkeys in attendance for a great Christmas photo.
"This day also marks Small Business Saturday where there will be free parking in Weymouth’s town centre car parks that are operated by Dorset Council.
"So, why not pop down after a busy day of shopping and join me at this year’s Carols by the Coast.”
