THE owners of a dog which went missing more than a year ago have not given up hope of finding their beloved 'baby.'

Willow the English Pointer went missing from Bere Regis on December 21, 2022, when she was just 18-months-old.

Lindy and Simon Manning were walking their dogs when Willow ran off after deer in the Black Hill area.

Lindy said: "We never stopped looking for her.

"We have camped out overnight and last year on Christmas morning we were up at 4am cooking bacon and sausages in the hope that the smell would waft away and bring her out of hiding."

The family have explored every single avenue they can think of to get their pet home including using drones, animal trackers and even speaking to three different clairvoyants who all said that 'Willow was off the grid in the Wareham area.'

Lindy added: "She was such a beautiful dog; she was our baby, and she would have been two last May."

Through their heartbreak, the family are appealing for people to keep an eye out for a brown and white dog.

"We just want to raise awareness that she hasn't been found."

Lindy has owned pointers all her life saying, 'they are very gentle and loving dogs,' explaining that her "little grandchildren still ask after her.'

Ultimately, the family just want to know that Willow is safe.

"If she has been in a family and is well cared for we just want to know that she is safe. She can't have just evaporated."

Dorset Echo:

Shortly after Willow went missing, a number of sightings were reported in Wareham Forest, Crossways and Bockhampton.

Anyone who may know of her whereabouts or may have seen her should all Lindy on 07971 024154 or Simon 07808 770692.

Lindy explained that they are aware that Willow could be anywhere by now but as they haven't heard she has died they will keep on searching and 'raising awareness.'

The group Muddy Paws Crime created a Christmas campaign in the hopes of getting Willow home and offered a finder's fee to anyone who is able to reunite her with her family.
