A broken-down ambulance is causing traffic along a main Weymouth road as families travel home after Christmas.
Police were called to the A354 Weymouth relief road near Bincombe to help with traffic management and recovery.
A driver described seeing an ‘ambulance pulled over and partially blocking the northbound carriageway causing a lot of traffic.’
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.17pm of a broken-down ambulance partially blocking the northbound carriageway of the A354 near Bincombe. Officers have attended to assist with traffic management and recovery.”
There is plenty of traffic on Dorset roads as families begin travelling home after the Christmas period.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix suggests that there is further queueing traffic on A35 around Stinsford Hill (Stinsford roundabout) with an approximate travel time of 15 minutes.
