Firefighters rushed to a house fire in Chickerell.
When fire crews from Weymouth arrived at the School Hill address yesterday (Wednesday, December 27), shortly after 2.04pm, the fire was found to already be out.
It is understood that the fire originated from a chip pan and luckily, it was able to be extinguished before their arrival and the crew were able to investigate and ventilate the premises.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call at 2.04pm yesterday afternoon about a domestic property fire on School Hill, Chickerell.
"Two crews from Weymouth attended the incident which involved a chip pan – the fire was extinguished prior to our arrival so firefighters inspected the property and assisted in ventilating."
