It is not long now until one of Dorchester's popular beer festival returns for another year of quality ales and fundraising.

West Dorset Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) and Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary Club's 35th Dorchester Beerex is just around the corner.

With little more than a month to go until the festivities kick off make sure you get your ticket before they sell out.

The event is being held on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester.

Tickets for the event are £11 and includes a free pint, souvenir glass and programme with a full beer menu and tasting notes.

There will be more than 80 real ales and a large selection of ciders available to drinkers this year, with Cerne Abbas Brewery staff on hand to offer their expertise.

Hot and cold food will also be available at all the sessions and live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the following locations:

  • The Convivial Rabbit, Dorchester
  • Tom Browns, Dorchester
  • Copper St Brewery Tap, Dorchester
  • The Brace of Butchers, Poundbury.
  • The Globe Inn, Weymouth.

Over the years, Dorchester Beerex has raised £248,000 for local causes. This year’s primary charity is Amelia’s Rainbow which supports children in Dorset and the surrounding area suffering from any terminal, life-limiting, serious or chronic illness

The event raised more than £23,000 last year, and is hoping to match or better that figure in February.
