Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) has announced the date of its next Local Performance and Scrutiny Committee.

The next meeting covering the Dorset area will take place at the fire service's Poundbury offices on Peverell Avenue West on Thursday, February 22 at 10am.

Copies of the agenda and reports for these meetings can be viewed five days in advance on the DWFRS website and will be available at the meeting itself

The main purpose of the committee is to reduce community and firefighter risks associated with prevention and response as set out in the Community Safety Plan and to make any recommendations to the Fire & Rescue Authority.

Members of the public are welcome to attend in person and can assist the service by submitting questions about fire & rescue prevention and response in their area via the Democratic Services.

DWFRS may record this meeting and this recording may be broadcast live or subsequently on their website.

At the start of the meeting the chair will confirm if all or part of the meeting is being recorded. The images and sound recordings may also be used for training purposes within the authority.

Members of the public should also be aware that the meeting may also be recorded by the press or others.

By entering the meeting room you are consenting to being recorded and to the use of those images and recordings for broadcast and/or training purposes.
