A RYANAIR flight bound for Bournemouth Airport was forced to divert from landing earlier this morning.

The Ryanair flight RK1133 from Edinburgh completed several loops around north Poole, Bournemouth and the New Forest at around 9am on Monday, January 29.

Pilots of the 737 jet then chose to head north and land at Birmingham Airport later on Monday morning.

According to Flight Radar, the plane eventually took off and landed again at Bournemouth Airport at around 11.30am.

It is unknown what caused the diversion at this point, however, there has been thick fog seen across Bournemouth this morning.

Ryanair and Bournemouth Airport have both been contacted for more information.
