A Weymouth man has appeared in court charged with affray on a town walking trail.
Barry William McCusker, aged 46, of Abbotsbury Road, appeared in Weymouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 31.
He has been charged with affray as well as possession of an offensive weapon - a black metal pole - in a public place.
The charges refer to an incident on the Rodwell Trail, namely Old Castle Road, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at around 8.45am.
McCusker has pleaded not guilty to both charges. The case will next be heard at Bournemouth Crown Court at 10am on Thursday, February 29.
He has been granted unconditional bail.
McCusker was represented by Lee Christmas for defence.
The prosecutor was Elizabeth Valera and the magistrates' bench was chaired by Louise Dutton.
