A WEYMOUTH-based company is set to compete at this year's Firework Championships in Plymouth.
Anytime Fireworks has been selected as one of six companies that will compete on Plymouth Hoe this summer.
Plymouth Lord Mayor Councillor Mark Shayer conducted the draw for the event which attracts more than 100,000 visitors to watch at viewing points all around Plymouth Sound.
The British Firework Championships is the largest free public event in the South West in 2024 and the event has been hosted in Plymouth for more than 25 years.
Anytime Fireworks is a family-run fireworks company based in Weymouth with more than 30 years experience in creating magical and spectacular events.
They put on displays for major corporate events and intimate weddings and also retail fireworks to the public.
Three companies will fire their displays from Mount Batten Pier on the evening of Wednesday 14 August, they will be followed by the second set of contestants on Thursday 15 August.
A reserve company has also been selected.
