A man has appeared in court charged with possession of class A drugs with the intent to supply in Weymouth.

Tanaka Karimba, 21, appeared in Weymouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 7.

He has been charged with possession with intent to supply both heroin and cocaine, as well as the possession of criminal property; namely £566.

The charges refer to an incident in Weymouth on January 24, 2023, where he acquired used or had in his possession £566 on Brunswick Terrace in Weymouth, and was found with cocaine at the Western Police HQ in Radipole Lane, Weymouth.

One also relates to possession with intent to supply heroin found in his possession at Western Police HQ on January 24, 2022.

Karimba, of Goliath Road, Poole, has not entered a plea and has been granted unconditional bail. The case will be heard at Bournemouth Crown Court on March 7.

He was represented by Dwayne Lewis.

The prosecutor was Victoria Hill and the magistrates' bench was chaired by Sarah Saunders.
