Parts of Dorset are on flood alert, while the county has been issued with a weather warning by the Met Office.

A yellow weather warning has been in place in the county since 2am on Thursday, February 8 until 6am on Friday, February 9.

Large spells of heavy rain will hit the county town from 3pm, with precipitation likely throughout the day and into the night. The rain looks as though it will pass through by 12pm on Friday afternoon.
