A MAN was allegedly assaulted in a playground in Weymouth.
It is reported that a local man aged in his 20s was assaulted by an unknown man in The Marsh Playground behind the leisure centre on Knightsdale Road.
It was reported at around 5.05pm on Wednesday, February 7.
The victim was punched to the side of the face and taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not serious.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Jamie Ralphs, of Weymouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.
“If you have information that may help identify the unknown man involved, please get in touch.”
