Power tools have been stolen from a construction site.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft of power tools from a building site on Portland overnight.
The break-in is said to have occurred at a construction site off Kingbarrow Drive some time between 5pm yesterday, Thursday, and 7.30am today, Friday.
Officers suspect that the offenders gained access to the site from the area of Wakeham.
Police also think that a vehicle was used, due to the amount of tools stolen.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers from Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, are appealing for witnesses following the theft of power tools from a building site on Portland overnight.
"The tools were taken from a building currently under construction off Kingbarrow Drive. Officers suspect that the offenders gained access to the site from the area of Wakeham."
Dorset Police are appealing for any witnesses of suspect behaviour to come forward. They would also ask residents to check CCTV and doorbell cameras in the area, to see if they have captured anything evidential.
