A TOP-secret superyacht reportedly worth £60million has been spotted in Dorset.

The huge 65-metre Promise.D is currently moored at the Port of Poole Marina.

Details on the specification of the vessel have been kept under lock and key, but pictures show a sheltered foredeck, a large helipad and a fold-down beach club.

It is understood the vessel will be at the marina until Tuesday, February 27, after it arrived on Tuesday afternoon, and it has been seen flying the flag of the Cayman Islands.

Dorset Echo:

It is unknown who the owner of the superyacht is, but it has been built by Dutch boatbuilder Feadship, and it has been delivered following successful sea trials in December 2023.

The vessel had been spotted in the Dutch canals, and it is the latest in a series of projects from the boatbuilder, including a 103-metre superyacht named Ulysses.

It is unclear what the purpose of the brand new, 1,800 tonne, superyacht’s visit to the harbour is.

Back in 2022, after the visit of 67m superyacht Nebula to the harbour, then-harbour master Captain Brian Murphy told the Echo: “This is very much a growth market and Poole Harbour is fast becoming the UK’s number one destination for superyachts.

Dorset Echo:

“It is great news for the local economy with all of the superyachts using local shops for storing of provisions and essential items and local marine repair companies for any maintenance requirements.

“In recent years, as part of decarbonisation, we have introduced shore power facilities for superyachts.

“We are very proud of our highly experienced marina staff and the excellent levels of service they take great pride in providing. This has resulted in both of Poole Harbour Commissioners marinas achieving the highest five gold anchor standard every year since 2011.”

Poole Harbour is also home to luxury yacht manufacturer Sunseeker.
