An award-winning stage parody of romantic comedies will be touring to Weymouth this April.

Following sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Six Chick Flicks will be performed at the Weymouth Pavilion theatre on Thursday, May 9 at 7.30pm.

The show offers a comedic and feminist take on many well-known romantic films considered “chick flicks” such as Titanic, Pretty Woman, Beaches, Legally Blonde, The Notebook, and Dirty Dancing.  It combines original songs, dancing, and improvised performances, aiming to make each performance a unique experience.

It has received numerous accolades including Orlando Fringe Patrons Pick 2022, Toronto Fringe Patrons Pick 2022, Edmonton Fringe Holdover Series, and the International Fringe Encore Series award.

The show is written by Kerry Ipema and TJ Dawe, who teamed up following a successful UK and US tour of another parody show One Woman Sex and the City

It will be performed by US actors KK Apple and Kerry Ipema.

Tickets cost £24.50 per person and are available to buy on the Weymouth Pavilion website: https://weymouthpavilion.com/shows/six-chick-flicks/
