A CAR was seized from what police described as an unlicensed driver.
Police conducted checks on a car which was seen being driven by a woman with a small child passenger in Weston on Portland.
The vehicle was seized by police at around 3pm today (Friday, March 8).
The driver was issued with a Traffic Offence Report.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Checks were conducted on a vehicle seen being driven by a female with a small child passenger.
"These checks revealed that the driver was driving on a provisional driving licence only.
"The vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
"The driver was issued with a Traffic Offence Report and will be dealt with by the courts."
