The filming is rumoured to be for the second season of Apple TV comedy/drama Bad Sisters, but this has not been confirmed.

In the past year, film crews have travelled to several locations across Dorset for upcoming films and TV shows.

In October, scenes for the Netflix comedy-drama Heartstopper were filmed on the beach in Lyme Regis.

In the past, Weymouth has also been the setting for feature films Dunkirk and  Two for Joy starring Billie Piper.

Christopher Nolan’s wartime epic Dunkirk, starring Harry Styles, Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy, featured scenes filmed at Weymouth Harbour.

The star-studded group came to Weymouth for filming in July 2016 as areas of the harbour quayside transformed back to 1940.

Meanwhile, film crews descended on Weymouth and Portland for the 2009 film The Boat That Rocked.

Also in Lyme Regis, scenes for 'Wonka' which was released earlier this year were filmed on the Cobb.

Scenes for the Star Wars series Andor filmed in Winspit Quarry, near Worth Matravers in May 2021.

Dorset has also played host to film crews for the production of World War Z and Nanny McPhee in recent years.
