A public meeting and coastal walk with a water supply company will be held in Portland on Friday evening.

The management team from Wessex Water Sewage Infrastructure will be visiting The Portland Community Venue to listen to public concerns about sewage pollution in local seas and rivers.

It has been organised by Extinction Rebellion campaigners as part of the Don’t Pay for Dirty Water movement, targeting major water companies, by encouraging people to withhold the wastewater or sewerage part of their water bill.

Wessex Water representatives will be walking with campaigners and along the coast path in Weymouth and Portland, visiting the numerous sewage outfalls where sewage has been discharged.

It will be held at The Portland Community Venue, DT5 1JN, from 7pm on Friday, March 15.

You can find out more information about the meeting by contacting Caz Dennett at 0754097717.
