A women has been arrested following a crash into a wall along a main road in Dorset.
The incident is reported to have taken place around 5.54pm on Thursday, March 21 when a car collided with a wall on Dorchester Road, Weymouth, near to the junction with Monmouth Avenue.
It was also reported that a dog was injured in the incident. The dog was rushed to a local vets for treatment.
The police reported no further injuries.
A woman, aged in her 50s, was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and has since been released under investigation whilst police carry out further enquiries. Police left the scene of the incident around 6.45pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 5.54pm on Thursday 21 March 2024 of a collision in Dorchester Road involving a single vehicle that had collided with a wall near to the junction with Monmouth Avenue.
“It was also reported that a dog was injured in the incident and was taken to a local vets for treatment. No further injuries were reported.
“A woman aged in her 50s was arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and she has been released under investigation as further enquiries are carried out. Officers left the scene at around 6.45pm.”
