A car was seized in Dorchester after the driver was found to be committing driving offences.
A Ford Fusion Zetec was seized from Trinity Street yesterday afternoon (Friday, March 22), by officers from Dorchester Police.
The officers were out on foot patrols in the area when they stopped the vehicle and the driver was found to be driving otherwise in accordance with their driving licence.
They were subsequently reported for driving offences and the vehicle was seized.
The officers also conducted patrols of the known anti-social behaviour hotspots, liaised with shopkeepers and assisted the council with a housing visit.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: “Officers out on foot patrol in Dorchester town centre this afternoon stopped this vehicle on Trinity Street.
“The driver was found to be driving otherwise in accordance with their driving licence. They were subsequently reported for driving offences and the vehicle was seized.
“We also conducted patrols of our known anti-social behaviour hotspots, liaised with shopkeepers and assisted the Council with a housing visit.”
