EMERGENCY services were called to the seafront at Swanage to help four people in the water over the Easter weekend.
Dorset Police received a report at 1.52pm on Sunday raising concern for the welfare of four people in the water at Swanage Beach.
Members of the public assisted the emergency services in getting all four people to safety, it has emerged.
Police attended, alongside the ambulance service and Swanage Coastguard Rescue Team.
The four were checked over by the ambulance service as a precaution.
People had reported seeing divers, the ambulance service and police near Swanage Pier.
Dorset Police were unable to provide any details on Sunday but have now released the information.
Police officers left the scene at around 2.55pm.
