A musical couple who met while working on cruise ships have swapped a life at sea for picturesque Dorset.
Yvonne and Oleg Zaremskyi spent many years entertaining guests at sea, visiting different parts of the globe, Yvonne as a professional singer and dancer and Oleg as a musician.
Now, the couple have decided to settle down and have purchased their first home in Shaftesbury
The couple were won over by the picturesque countryside around the market town, and fell in love with the area.
Yvonne said: "With the development situated in beautiful surroundings but with easy access to Bournemouth and Southampton, its location was also ideal for work.”
Yvonne is a dance teacher and Oleg is an instrument teacher at several schools across the region, and is also a saxophonist who plays for weddings, events and gigs in the evenings and weekends.
Their home is on a new development built by David Wilson Homes, called Niveus Walk.
Oleg added: “I often have to travel to different areas of the country. I can get to where I need to be easily but can come home to a lovely, secluded part of Dorset.”
The couple moved into their new home at the beginning of the year and are now getting settled into their brand-new home and lifestyle away from the cruise ships.
Yvonne continued: “After spending a lot of time on cruise ships over the years, it’s great to have a place we can call home. And we’re not far from my parents who live in Verwood.
"Although, we’re yet to unpack all our boxes, we’re excited about our future here and feel very lucky.”
Oleg added: “It’s just perfect. We’re also lucky to have met some nice neighbours that have moved into the development at a similar time to us. We’re very happy.”
