A road closure between Piddletrenthide and Buckland Newton will be in place to allow for road maintenance to be carried out.
All vehicles will be prohibited from driving along the B3143 at Alton Pancras, between Bookham Lane and Church Lane, a distance of approximately two miles.
It will come into operation between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Tuesday, April 16 and will remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed on the same day.
The road closure will allow highway maintenance firm Multevo to carry out carriageway repairs including kerbing, sign posts and iron works
The public notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
An alternative route will see road users take the A354 to Blandford, then the A350 and A357 to Sturminster Newton, before taking the A3030 towards Woodbridge, then the B3143 to Buckland Newton
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Multevo Ltd on 07495001837.
