A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft in Dorchester.
An officer from Dorset Police arrested the man on Trinity Street earlier today (Thursday, April 18).
The man, in his 40s, had been sought in connection with two reported shopliftings at the Co-op, also on Trinity Street.
Enquiries into the thefts are still ongoing.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: "A short time ago, an officer from the Neighbourhood Policing Team located a male in the town centre, who was sought in connection with two recently reported shopliftings.
"He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of theft and enquiries are ongoing."
