A popular rave event will be returning to Weymouth this year to raise money to fund cancer research.
Futureland was a 90s dance and rave event for under 18s held at Weymouth Pavilion. Now old faces and new faces are invited to its 18+ revival this year on Saturday, October 19 to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The event is organised by Dean Mendenhall who used to DJ at the raves in the 90s.
He said: "These Futureland events mean so much to me as this was such a huge part of my life at Weymouth Pavilion and a huge part of 100’s of others.
"These events were always successful and full of love and respect for the music & each other. And I feel it is important to bring that back. What Weymouth needs with so many nightclub closures around now.
"It's absolutely what Weymouth needs - A proper local revival event. "
The full DJ line-up on the night includes DJ SY, Tim Lyall, Pure Klass aka DJ Mystery, DJ Rhythm, 3177O, Swanne, Audio Work aka DJ Selector, Matt Hews and Mark C.
A professional sound system will also supplied by Sanktum Soundsystems and there will be Sign the Si, Barnstorma, Paddy Range and Angel on MC’s.
Tickets cost £20 and are available to buy on the Weymouth Pavilion website: https://tinyurl.com/mt8sxej5
