A TEENAGER was quizzed by police after officers found a rucksack containing cannabis.
Officers from Weymouth and Portland Police spoke to a 15-year-old boy near Hereford Road, Westham on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said he was "known to them for drug activity".
He was arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs, before being de-arrested after a search of his room.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "He was seen engaging with a male nearby and then despite trying to discard a rucksack containing a quantity of herbal cannabis.
"He didn't hide it very well and it was located.
"He was arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs and his room was searched at home before being de-arrested.
"Despite being de-arrested this does not affect the outcome and he will be dealt with for this in due course."
