Teenagers were caught on CCTV playing hide-and-seek in the derelict Brewer's Quay building in Weymouth town centre.
Weymouth and Portland Police responded to reports of youths entering the derelict building in the town centre on Saturday, April 27.
Officers said they located two "suspicious-looking males" with torches leaving the area on CCTV.
It turned out the males were in fact 13 years of age and had got "carried away" whilst playing hide-and-seek, according to police.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Buildings of unstable nature and under construction are fenced off for your safety, please do not enter them."
