A fire broke out in Bridport town centre, leading to the closure of a section of East Street.
Two fire crews from Bridport rushed to tackle the blaze in an outbuilding shortly before 7pm on Monday night.
Firefighters said they worked quickly to prevent the ‘well-developed’ fire from spreading to adjoining properties.
No injuries have been reported and the fire was contained quickly.
At around 8pm, watch manager Nick Courtice said the road would need to remain closed for a short while longer while firefighters finished working at the scene.
He said it is not yet known what caused the fire.
A fire investigation officer was requested to attend and investigate the cause and the police have been informed.
