Relaxing walks through a historic tourist hotspot in rural Dorchester are being offered to boost wellbeing.
People of all ages will get the chance to have a gentle wonder around author Thomas Hardy’s birthplace and Thorncombe Woods, led by a ranger.
The next events are taking place on Thursday, June 13 and Thursday, July 11 with both set to start
Each walk is said to be unique with the nature changing throughout the year, giving people the chance to stroll by Hardy’s cottage, the author's birthplace.
The ranger is a trained Dementia friend. Tramper hire (mobility scooter) is also available for the walks.
A donation of £5 is suggested. The walks are open to all but places must be booked in advance.
