PUPILS from years gone by are being invited to celebrate fifty years of a Weymouth primary school

This academic year Southill Primary School turns fifty and the school is getting ready to celebrate with past and present pupils.

On Friday, May 24, a tea party will be held for all of the current pupils of the school, with cakes and squash for everyone.

The pupils are all working on 50th projects within their classes for the special day and there will also be a few surprises for them all.

After the school day finishes they will be opening doors to past and present pupils, families and the local community to join us for a reunion, including a display commemorating the 50th anniversary of the school.

The reunion party will be held from 3.15pm until 5.15pm at Southill Primary School, Sycamore Road, Southill, Weymouth, DT4 9UF with memories, photos and nostalgia.

If you are a former pupil and have any memories or photos you would like to share please email them to southill50@southill.dorset.sch.uk before May 24.

The school is planning for the future too by fundraising for a music studio, to help the school's rock band which has been posting videos on the school's YouTube channel.

The crowdfunder and leave a legacy project is running until April 2025 where donations over £10 can have their name included on the original name plate of the studio.

Southill Primary School are welcoming all donations from the local community and businesses. More information can be found at app.goodhub.com/sps-leavealegacy
