A car caught fire after crashing into an ambulance on a major Weymouth road.
Emergency services were called to the A354 Weymouth Way near the Swannery junction following reports that a car had crashed into an ambulance and caught fire.

Police officers are at the scene diverting traffic along with the fire service.
The vehicles have been recovered and the road was reopened at around 2.35pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 12.52pm on Thursday, May 16, Dorset Police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A354 Weymouth Way close to the junction for Abbotsbury Road.

"It is reported that a car collided with an ambulance and has caught fire.
"Officers are in attendance with the fire service. The road is currently closed from Westham Bridge. No injuries have been reported."
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to the A354 Weymouth Way at 12.49pm today, Thursday May 16, following a road traffic collision.

"One crew from Weymouth attended but no action on their part was required, so our stop was at 1.11pm."
