A SUSPECTED shoplifter was arrested in Weymouth town centre.
Officers from Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing team were on patrol in the town on Sunday, May 19.
During the patrols, officers spotted a female who was suspected of stealing from a shop earlier in the day.
The woman was stopped and searched by police and the suspected stolen items were recovered.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "We spotted a female who was suspected of carrying out a shoplifting earlier.
"Turns out she also had five outstanding warrants and was also wanted for breaching a court order so she is spending the evening with us before off to court in the morning."
