Traffic chaos has been caused on the main road between Weymouth and Dorchester.
Drivers have described how there are "horrendous queues" along the Weymouth Ridgeway and Dorchester Road due to roadwork reportedly about to be installed.
Local residents have taken to social media to voice their concerns about temporary traffic lights that were reportedly installed on the ridgeway between Weymouth and Dorchester this afternoon.
One Facebook comment read: "The traffic is horrendous! Avoid the ridgeway!"
Others have said the signs are in place due to a dangerous pothole on the ridgeway that is "about to collapse."
Another person shared how their journey from Weymouth to Littlemoor and back took two hours, while others said all routes in the area are "gridlocked."
