AN ‘UNDISCLOSED’ number of people caught in nets are set to feature in an art installation on a Dorset beach this weekend.

Stephanie Lane, a London-based artist, specialises in creating images using artificial intelligence and the interpretation of those images with performance art.

She is known for, and has performed worldwide, her concept art highlighting “the cruelty of the dairy industry” by depicting women being milked with a farmers description of the process.

Her latest installation will feature the “plight of trawler caught fish” on Bournemouth beach before a worldwide release.

The installation will include an undisclosed number of humans caught in a net alongside a trawler man’s comment on the method of catching.

It is designed to bring the audience’s attention to the “suffering of fish,” and the artificial intelligence images are yet to be released.

Stephanie Lane has been acclaimed for her controversial images that demonstrate her art and campaigning style.

The feature on Bournemouth beach will be showcased at 1pm on Sunday, May 26.

A BCP Council spokesperson said: “We have not been contacted by the artist or provided permission for any installation.

"We are making urgent attempts to speak with them so that we can understand their plans and discuss the sensitivities around what they may be intending to do.”
