Six people have been arrested on suspicion of affray, with one of those also arrested on suspicion of assault after a man was injured in Dorchester.

Police received a report at 11.46pm on Sunday, June 9 of a disturbance at an address in Louise Road, near Victoria Park, in Dorchester.

One man was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining a minor facial injury.

Two 19-year-old men from Weymouth, a 20-year-old man from Taunton, a 20-year-old man from Yeovil, a 27-year-old Portland man and a 28-year-old Dorchester woman were arrested on suspicion of affray.

It was also revealed that one of the 19-year-old men was arrested on suspicion of assault.

All six people were released on police bail as the police continue enquiries into the incident.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 11.46pm on Sunday, June 9 of a disturbance at an address in Louise Road in Dorchester.

“One man sustained a minor facial injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Two 19-year-old men from Weymouth, a 20-year-old man from Taunton, a 20-year-old man from Yeovil, a 27-year-old Portland man and a 28-year-old Dorchester woman were arrested on suspicion of affray. One of the 19-year-old men was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

“All six people were released on police bail while enquiries continue.”
