A woman has been arrested for being drunk and disorderly after becoming 'rude' and 'abusive' in Dorchester town centre.
Officers from Dorset Police were called to reports of people drinking in the street on South Street earlier today who were 'causing issues'.
Upon speaking with the group, one woman became rude and abusive whilst repeatedly swearing at the officers.
This resulted in her being arrested where she remains in police custody.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: "Neighbourhood Officers were sent to reports of a group of street drinkers causing issues on South Street this afternoon.
"One female did not want to listen to the advice of officers and those in her group. She became rude, abusive and repeatedly swore which resulted in her being arrested for drunk and disorderly. She remains in police custody."
