Travellers have set up an "unauthorised" camp in Dorchester.
The police were alerted to their presence at 8.02pm yesterday at a park on King's Road in Dorchester.
Police officers have attended the site and are liaising with those present as well as the local authority.
They will be continuing to monitor the situation and will work with local partners and take appropriate further action if required.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 8.02pm on Thursday, July 4 of an unauthorised encampment in King’s Road in Dorchester.
"Officers have attended the site and are liaising with those present as well as the local authority.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and work with our local partners and will take appropriate further action if required."
