A CYCLIST was injured after going through the windscreen of a car during a collision in Chickerell today, police said.
Dorset Police said a man was placed on a spinal board by an ambulance crew after the collision with a grey Ford Focus at around lunchtime.
They said the cyclist, believed to be from Weymouth, was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester after the incident close to the junction of Putton Lane and Lower Putton Lane.
The cyclist, who was joined by his parents at the hospital, is believed to have suffered leg injuries.
