A roundabout used to travel onto and off of Portland will be undergoing repairs over several days.
Victoria Square Roundabout on Portland will be undergoing repairs overnight from 8pm to 6am, from Monday, September 9 to Thursday, September 13, and from 9pm to 7am on Friday/Saturday, September 14.
The roundabout will be under a temporary clearway indicated by signs - meaning there will be no parking or stopping in these areas.
Additionally, there will be a 10mph speed limit to facilitate a convoy system under stop-and-go boards.
This closure is so that essential repairs can be carried out.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of the clearway temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Dorset Council on 01305 228100.
To discuss the closure order, contact Dorset Council on 01305 221020.
